The definition of less is more is the notion that simplicity and clarity lead to good design. The minimalist design can always achieve the beautiful results and its purpose is to make the content stand out and be the focal point. From a visual standpoint, minimalist design is meant to be calming and to bring the mind down to the basics.
On the other hand, the meaning of the more is less for me is the more you design will lead to a confuse and give away the focal point in your design content. In addition, more on design will make people difficult to notice the main point of the content. Hence, it is not necessary to make a lot of design in order to achieve the good result because less is more is always be the best choice in designing. It can make the audience understand the content easily in the first glance.
As a conclusion, i really agree that this quote, 'less is more, more is less' because it is useful in our design for all the time.
